BEST BOOKS ON SPYWARE AND INTERNET SECURITY
Spyware Reference and Study Guide by Gregory Evans is a great first step in researching spyware, and contains a CD that gives Power Point presentations on how to identify and remove spyware infections on your computer.
PC Magazine Fighting Spyware, Viruses, and Malware by Ed Tittel is a magazine-style format, based on the popular PC Magazine. It contains a lot of information, maybe too much for the average user, but it’s certain that there is something for everyone. Very unsettling – it gives the statistic “as many as 28 spyware programmes running on the average home computer”. Thank goodness Tittel shows us how to find, eliminate and prevent them from coming back.
How to Do Everything to Fight Spam, Viruses, Pop-Ups, and Spyware by Ken Feinstein is a humorously-written, light hearted look at getting rid of problems on your computer. Easy to read and also with a CD, you’ll at least have fun reading this as you battle the baddies on your pc.
Bug-Free Computing by Ken Dwight is a great book for the everyday computer user who is worried about being attacked by viruses, worms and Trojan horses – fantastic, considering some spyware is brought into your computer via a virus.
Absolute Beginner’s Guide to Security, Spam, Spyware & Viruses by Andy Walker is a great book for amateurs and experts alike. His no-nonsense way of explaining how to protect the files on your computer will go down well with everyone from the novice to the professional.
